The Things That I Do

I build responsive websites that display pixel perfect on smart-phones, tablets & desktops. My designs are also mobile-friendly, which means pages are not bloated with unnecessary code. This is important if visitors are using their mobile data.

My websites are meticulously optimised and tested for search engines such as Google.  This is a vital element of any design, to ensure high search rankings.

I don’t provide Content Management (CMS). However, I do offer a Hosting+Maintenance plan, which means I will make edits whenever they are requested. Typically this would be for updating photographs or editing text.

I set-up domain-based email accounts and will help configure your devices too.

I provide UK based web hosting for my clients. My hosting package is both faster and cheaper than the big players such as GoDaddy.

Working Together

I first like to meet for an informal chat. We’ll discuss your business, your goals and what your website needs to do for you. We’ll also discuss your competitors and look at their websites to see what you admire about them.

Once I have a good understanding of your business, your goals and your budget, I will produce a Proposal and Quotation.

Once I begin work, colour palettes, typography and the components of each page will need to be considered and decided upon. Page layouts need to designed differently for desktop, tablet and mobile, so this may form part of our design conversations.

I’ll usually ask for some paragraphs of text to feature in the website. Don’t worry too much about the correct wording or grammar, I will tidy this up. It may be necessary to commission professional photographs or I can purchase professional stock photos if required.

Project Costs

I work full-time from my home, which means that my overheads (and fees) are much lower than those large web design studios in their office suites.

Every website project (and the work that is required on my part)  can vary considerably.

If you already have all of the text and images - great! However, if I'm required to write content or source photos then my fee will be a little higher.

To give you some very rough ballpark figures, my clients typically pay....
